Training – Half term Mini – Soccer squads at Ludgvan - WILL train Under 13/s & 14/s at Penwith Sports Hall - Will Not train.
Volunteer Changes John Rodda, Under 14/s manager has resigned after 8 years loyal service with the Lions. On behalf of everyone at Ludgvan I would like to thank John for his loyal service to the club. John has carried out a great many tasks not in the team manager job description and will be greatly missed. You will still see him around, probably in his black uniform refereeing for one or another of the teams. The Under 14/s are in the temporary charge of Phil Caspall, whilst a new manager is found. Anyone with an interest in this post please call Club Secretary - Jane. Sue McKnight, our Fundraising Secretary has also resigned due to her boys moving on. Again we pass on our thanks for all her fundraising efforts. Anything relating to Fundraising can be passed on to any member of the committee or your squads parent rep. If you would like to have a go as Fundraising Secretary or learn more about what is involved please call Club Secretary - Jane.
Kit Can we please once again remind parents that your players kit is for Ludgvan Lions matches only. It is not for playing in and it is not for their school football training either. This kit cost our sponsors a lot of money. Please respect this rule!

Welcome back to football and the 2007-2008 Season. It only seems two minutes ago we were all planning how to celebrate the millennium, now we are almost three quarters of the way through the first decade. Ludgvan Lions was founded in the year 2000 and is growing bigger every year. This season we will be fielding 4 x mini-soccer and 2 x 11 a-side teams in the Kernow Youth league plus our friendly teams….. That is a lot of football. The Kernow Youth league Kicks off on Sunday 16th September and will finish at the end of April 2008. All the league fixtures are on the Kernow Youth league website. All fixtures are subject to change. Please remember that Cup matches will not yet be on the website and have to be either fitted into the list or added at the end, also postponements etc for weather will inevitably fill in or extend the dates set. Fixture lists are also available from your squad manager if you haven’t already received one. If your player has been asked to take part in the league squad please remember this is a commitment for the season. If for some reason you cannot make a match please give the manager, as much notice as possible. Winter Training In a couple of weeks we will be starting our winter indoor training schedule. Please ensure your player has non-marking soles on his/her trainers for use in the sports hall. Please ensure your player arrives at their training session before leaving them and be back promptly to pick them up. Children should not be left without a responsible adult, the Community centre is a public place with a bar so children should be supervised at all times. Ludgvan Lions coaches are only responsible during the training session. Under 6/s – New Intake We are pleased to announce that our new intake of Under 6/s – school year 1 will commence training on Tuesday 2nd October with their Coach – Gary Williams. There are a few places left if you have a youngster that is interested - Please call Jane. Under 6 parents are requested to remain at training with their player please. If you are interested in coaching please speak to us – Gary will need assistance with training.
Kit Most of you will be given your kit to look after for the season. Please remember this kit is for Football ONLY…..it is not for going out to play in. It will always remain the property of Ludgvan Lions.
Tesco Vouchers Please remember *Ludgvan Lions* when you pick up your Tesco Sports vouchers. Give them in when you pay your subs, or send them to Jane.
